Description

The Vote mechanics allows you to ask your community for their opinion on your brand or products. You can thus establish a ranking of your users' favourite products/services, or give your customers a voice by asking them for suggestions for improvements or new products. It's an engaging module that lets you know what your users really think about your brand or products.

Summary

Design

Before setting up your campaign, you will need to have created the various graphic elements required. To begin, please consult this page which will give you access to all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign. To create the elements specific to the Vote module, please read this article.

Page setup

First, click on New Campaign and select the Vote mechanic. You will then be taken to the campaign editor which includes the 4 stages of this mechanic: Form, Vote, Thanks and an End of campaign page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page. Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

If you want to include game variables on your background, consider leaving them a space in the graphic design.

Background images setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under 'Background Image''. To find out the graphic specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game Design' section in this article You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can leave the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that evokes (for instance) your brand or your game pages.

Game settings

  • Number of applicants: defines how many candidates (or products/services) the participant will be able to vote for in each session, be it per day, per week, per month or per campaign.

  • Number of possible votes: allows you to define how many times a participant will be able to vote for the same candidate (or product/service), whether per day, per week, per month or per campaign.

  • Redirection page: allows you to define the participant's arrival page once his vote(s) have been completed.

  • Applicants management: allows you to name all the candidates (or products/services) for which your participants will be able to vote. You can add as many candidates as necessary by creating them via the "Add Candidate" button.

Module content

Select applicant: The list of all created candidates appears in this drop-down menu. You must now create a voting button for each of them. Select the 1st candidate and click on the icon "+" next to "Add a Voting Button" to create his or her voting button.

Move it to your Voting page to the desired location and repeat the process for all candidates. You can create multiple buttons for the same candidate. To learn more about customizing voting buttons, we recommend reading this article.

Set up the Vote results

You have the possibility to display the 10 candidates having obtained the most votes on your campaign in the form of a ranking with visual display.

These 10 candidates can be :

  • those voted by the participant himself

  • an overall ranking of the 10 most voted candidates on your campaign, without your users having previously voted or registered on any campaign page.

For example, you can show your users how their choices compare to those of the community, or increase traffic to your campaign by encouraging voters to bring up an item of their choice in the Top 10 votes.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  • Add a dynamic image widget to your result page

  • Click on the widget

  • In "Image associated with the page", choose "Vote"

  • In "Image to display", choose "Top vote n°1" (this user or all users) to display the visual of your most appreciated photo

  • Repeat this process, modifying each time the image to display, until you have the number of candidates you want (ex: configure 3 dynamic widgets to make a TOP 3 ranking).

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and Test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.
