Summary

Game design

Before setting up your campaign, you will need to have created the various graphic elements required. To begin, please consult this page which will give you access to all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating the graphics of your games. To create the specific elements of the Flappy module, please consult this article.

Page setup

First, click on New Campaign and select the Flappy mechanic. You will then be taken to the campaign editor which includes the 4 stages of this mechanic: Form, Flappy, a Result page and an End of campaign page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page.

Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under ' Background Image'. To find out the graphic specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game Design' section in this article.

You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can leave the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that evokes (for instance) your brand or your game pages.

Game settings

  • You can choose whether users can play for an unlimited or limited time by deciding whether to activate "Limited Participation" or not.

  • If you choose Limited Participation > set the number of entries per day, week, month or campaign, and per user > Create and set your already played page. If the user tries to replay, s/he will go directly to this page.

  • You can choose to enable the fact that users lose the game if they hit an obstacle. This adds some difficulty, but can cause frustration for players.

  • If you want to add even more difficulty, you can decide to activate the shiftng of obstacles. Once the player has avoided a certain number of obstacles, the following obstacles will move up and down to add difficulty.

  • Select "Display Result Page" to configure the result pages. To find out more about the type of result, click here. In practice, readjust the page number of won, lost and already played.

Customizing the appearance

Upload background visuals, hero, cloud, ground, obstacles, bonuses. To learn more about the graphic specifications, click here By clicking on the "advanced option", you can customize the text that appears at the end of the game and on the loading bar.

Editing and preview settings

By clicking on the game area in the editor, you will be able to access the game preview as well as the edition of the game dimensions (to best integrate your game in a mobile application). Learn more about this feature

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

💡 Please note that it is not necessary to create a Mobile background for the "Flappy" game page as the game is full screen on Mobile. It is the Desktop game background that is displayed for the Mobile version but it is resized to 60% and cropped on the sides.

Campaign launch and Test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.
