Benefit from the publication on a dedicated website

The publication on a dedicated site allows to have your campaign on a specific domain or sub-domain from the Adictiz Box platform, in one click.

To publish a campaign on a dedicated url from our platform, you have two possibilities:

  • Either you are the owner of the domain name and therefore you have to make a DNS "CNAME" check on domains.adbx.io

  • OR our technical team can buy the desired domain name and take care of the "CNAME" score

Add your domain / dedicated URL to Adictiz Box

Once the domain name is defined and/or bought (ex: mycampaign.com), you need to connect to the provider platform of your domain name (e.g. OVH, 1and1, Amen, Godaddy, etc.).

  • Make a CNAME pointing on domains.adbx.io - the domain name appears

  • Check if your CNAME is valid by going on the following website: WhatsMyDNS - make sure to select "CNAME"

CNAME

Finally, you have to add this domain name to the platform.

⚠️ The propagation time of the SSL certificate can take up to 24 hours.

  • To do this, click on the drop-down menu next to the "publish my campaign" button

  • Then click on "my custom domains" from "account".

  • Click on the 'Add a domain' button and enter the selected domain name

  • You can also add a Google Analytics tag for this domain

  • The domain indexing option allows you to reference this domain on search engines.

  • It is possible to add in the "My domains" section secondary custom domain names that automatically link to the primary domain. E.g. my-domain.com to www.my-domain.com or game.my-domain.com. This makes it possible to relay a game URL with or without the www for example, and that the participants are well redirected to the campaign.

  • SSL generation (https) on all custom domains is managed automatically.

You must be able to set up CNAME pointing of your subdomain to domains.adbx.io.

  • Root domains cannot be connected to the platform, only subdomains can (e.g. www.mydedicateddomain.com or game.mydedicateddomain.com).

  • If you still want to use a root domain, you must be able to set up an HTTP and HTTPS (30x) redirection from the root domain to the sub-domain via your DNS provider (dedicateddomain.com to www.mydedicateddomain.com or game.mydedicateddomain.com).

Publish your campaign on your dedicated domain

Once this step is complete, return to the campaign editor and click on the "Publish my campaign" button. If you have already clicked on this button previously, click on 'publish settings' in the drop-down menu instead.

Publish settings

Then 'configure the publication parameters' Click the drop-down arrow next to adbx.io and you should see the domain name you added that has been validated in our platform. Select it and fill in the other field.

Important : any new campaign created will be given a unique name - by default, this will take the form of the name of the selected campaign and its identifier. You can of course change this name before publication. However, please note that your campaign name must never have been used in Box and must be at least 3 characters long.

Click "Publish". Your campaign is online on the displayed URL. Please note that your campaign will be visible on your dedicated domain only from the date you have selected in Adictiz Box:

If you have set up a Teasing page, it will be visible only from your direct link (eg: www.mydedicateddomain.com/mygame).

URL use case of a custom domain

  • When you broadcast a campaign on a dedicated domain (e. g. www.mondomainedédié.com/monjeu), it is possible to access it by simply typing the url of the dedicated domain (e. g. www.mondomainedédié.com) as long as it is being broadcast.

  • Similarly, the automatic redirection of the root domain (e. g. mydomain.com) to the complete url of a campaign, including root domain and unique name as configured in Adictiz Box (e. g. mydomain.com/mygame) only works for ongoing campaigns (not finished).

  • If you have 2 campaigns running on the same dedicated domain, the user will see the most recent campaign if he/she enters the url of the dedicated domain only.

Therefore, you can communicate only on your root domain if you have only one active campaign: this will shorten the sharing url.
