Description

Give your users the opportunity to create their own Wishlist Pinterest. Create a photo gallery with a selection of your best products, and invite your users to create their ideal gift list by "pinning" their favorite products. Use the Wishlist Pinterest to invite your users to share content around one of your product lines. This offers more exposure to your brand among potential customers (followers of your fans on Pinterest) and existing ones (your fans), and promotes dialogue and exchange with your community around your brand through photography.

Game Design

Before setting up your campaign, you will need to create the different graphic elements required.

Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating your games graphics.

To create the items specific to the Pinterest Wishlist, please see this article: Wishlist Pinterest module graphic specifications

It's time to set up your campaign!

Page setup

First of all, click on New Campaign then select the Wishlist Pinterest mechanism.

You will reach the campaign editor, where you will find the mechanism's 6 pages: Home (optional); Form; Wishlist Pinterest and the 'Won', 'Lost' and 'Already Played' pages.

If you want, you can also add a teaser page and/or an end of campaign page.

Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, by entering the campaign dates and importing the Rules and Privacy Policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under ' Background Image'.

To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game design' section in this article.

You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can keep the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that reflects your brand or your game pages, for instance.

Upload your photos

The Wishlist Pinterest is actually a Media Gallery module on which your users will be able to choose and "pin" their favorite items. To import your photos, follow these steps:

  • Go to the " Users" section

  • Select the "Media" tab and then click on"Import Media"

  • Upload your images - you can use a configuration file if you have a large number of photos to import

  • Fill in the informations required to identify your photo if necessary (name, description, long description, category)

Your photos are now installed on your campaign and ready to be configured.

Module parameters (Media Gallery Page)

Enable participation: this module does not ask users to upload their photos, so keep this option disabled.

Enable votes: You can allow users to vote for their favorite item in addition to "pinning" their choice on their own Pinterest wall. If you enable this option, you will need to choose:

  • the start and end dates of votes

  • the type of Vote (classic or "like")

Registration mandatory (only if "votes" has been enabled) : You can make votes possible only for customers who have registered via the Form. This will give you access to another setting, the "Validation per email" which will require the creation of an emailing to notify the user that his vote has been taken into account.

Limited Vote (only if "votes" has been enabled) : this option allows you to manage the number of votes possible per user and per day, week, month or campaign.

Module Contents (Media Gallery Page)

"Show medias of the page": Select "None" for this option if you choose to import all the photos that users will be able to see and vote on.

If you want to retrieve media from another page of your campaign (for example if you have asked your users to upload their own photos), select the Upload Media page that you will have previously installed.

"Image Media": Enable this option to specify the type of file that will be displayed.

Other options remain disabled.

Customizing the appearance (Media Gallery Page)

Gallery type: you can choose between 3 types of display for your photos:

  • Classic

  • Mosaic

  • Infinity

We recommend reading the Photo Contest article for the description of each option.

You can also complete the customization by choosing the size of the image and the margin for your photos.

Enable search: Displays a search bar if you have a large number of photos on your Media Gallery page.

Selection fields: You have the option to display filters at the top of the gallery so that your users can find them more easily.

  • "Most popular" are the ones that obtained the most votes.

  • "The most recent" are the ones that have just been added.

  • "My creations" are the ones the user added.

  • "My friends" are the ones the user's friends added.

Filter to display: select your custom filters to display or create new filters.

Click on the "Customize pop-in view" button to set up the pop-in that will be displayed when a user clicks on a photo from the gallery.

The Pinterest Widget is enabled by default on the template of this module, and you can add more if you like.

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for this material.

To import Mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for Desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign.

Don't forget to check your campaign.
