Description

Reveal module is perfect for product launches or teasers. This module prompts users to tweet a message containing a specific hashtag to reveal a hidden image. The more messages the user tweets, the more the image will be revealed.

Design

Before setting up your campaign, you will need to have created the various graphic elements required. To begin, please consult this page which will give you access to all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating the graphics of your games. To create the specific elements of the Reveal module, please consult this article.

Page setup

First, click on New Campaign and select the Reveal mechanic. You will then be taken to the campaign editor which includes the 4 stages of this mechanic: Form, Reveal, a Result page and an End of campaign page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page. Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under ' Background Image'. To find out the graphic specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game Design' section in this article You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can leave the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that evokes (for instance) your brand or your game pages.

Game settings

  • Game mode:

    • Classic: This means that your users will only need to tweet the specific hashtag(s) to gradually reveal the photo.

    • Quiz: Users will need to tweet the specific hashtag(s) to gradually reveal the photo and additionally attempt to find out what is hidden behind the photo by writing an expected word.

  • Number of posts: Specify the number of hashtags that need to be posted on X to fully display the image.

  • Automatic redirection: By activating this setting, users will be automatically redirected to the thank you page once the number of tweets has been reached. If you don't activate it, you can, for example, create an action button that will redirect them to a page of your choice.

  • Redirection page: For example, choose the "Thank You" page as the default redirection page. Alternatively, you can select any other page from the campaign.

  • Hashtag X (Twitter): Define the hashtag(s) that participants should tweet to reveal the blurred image. If you have chosen Quiz mode, select "Show the result page" to configure the result pages and then go to the "Content" section (see next paragraph).

The "Share on X (Twitter)" button

The sharing button on X (Twitter) is one of the essential components of this module. You will need to customize it by following these steps:

  1. Click on the button in the editor.

  2. Import a visual for the button by clicking on "Upload" under the "Replace with an image" line.

  3. In the "Tweet text" section, you can leave this field blank or write text to encourage sign-ups during sharing. This text can include the tweet that needs to be shared (recommended).

  4. You can also include the default campaign link in the tweet by enabling the corresponding option.

  5. Redirect users to the thank you page you select in the "Action after Tweet" section.

Game Content

⚠️ This section is only accessible if you have set up your Reveal in Quiz mode.

You will be able to enter all possible answers and the error message text if the user doesn't enter any response.

Customizing the appearance

You must import the visual that will be revealed in this section. It will be blurred until the required number of posted hashtags is reached.

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.
