Description

The mechanics of the Simon allows you to challenge your participants with a memory game whose objective is to reproduce the visual and/or sound sequences proposed without making mistakes. Fully customisable, this allows you to showcase your products via a real addictive gameplay that perfectly meets your community's commitment objectives.

Design

Before setting up your campaign, you will need to have created the different graphic elements needed. Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign. To create the elements specific to the Battle module, please read this article.

Pages setup

First, click on New Campaign and select the Simon mechanic. You will then be taken to the campaign editor which includes the 4 stages of this mechanic: Form, Simon, a Result page and an End of campaign page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page.

Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under 'Background Image'. To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game design' section in this article. You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can keep the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that reflects your brand or your game pages, for instance.

Game settings

  • Limited participation: Set the number of entries per day, week, month or campaign and per user, then create and select your Already Played page. If the user tries to replay, they will be taken directly to this page. We recommend not to activate the limited participation so that your participants can replay this game as many times as they want.

  • Number of lives: The number of lives determines the number of errors the participant will be able to make. The longer the sequence to be remembered, the more lives can be increased, for example.

  • Enable customized mode: Activate this option to define yourself the sequence that the participant will have to play. Each button has a number visible in the preview window: enter each number by separating it from the next with ";". You can of course enter the same number several times. If this option is not activated, the editor will generate a random sequence for each participant.

  • Display result page: Select “Display result page” so that users can find out if they've won or not. To choose the type of result, read this page. Adjust the number of Won, Lost and Already Played pages.

Customizing the appearance

  • Game background visual: upload the visual that will be integrated into the game area, i.e. the background in which the participant will have to click on the buttons.

  • Life visual: upload the visual representing the lives.

  • Sound to be played in case of error: upload a very short sound file in MP3 or MPEG format. You must configure for each button its visual "off" and "on" (when the button is clicked), as well as the musical sequence it will play when the participant clicks on it.

By clicking on "Advanced settings", you can customize the start and end of game text and the loading bar. Don't forget to click on the "Play" button to personalise the visual. It is impossible to remove this button.

Editing and preview settings

By clicking on the game area in the editor, you will be able to access the game preview as well as the edition of the game dimensions (to best integrate your game in a mobile application). Learn more about this feature

You can also access the "Edit the game engine" option. This is used to correctly position the buttons on your game zone (see below).

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and Test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.

Game One features zombies whose shouting order must be reconstructed at the start of the school year. The particularity here is the sequence of 2 Simon in a row, the second of which has a sequence that is more difficult to reconstruct.

Jabra proposes to the participants to click successively on the 45h Elite headphones in order to reproduce a musical sequence. In doing so, the brand highlights the sound quality of its headphones as well as their design.
