Description

The Face Filter's mechanics allow your users to upload a photo of themselves and customize it with elements of your brand or stickers. Display the products that can be used to personalize the photo and users only have to use the ones they prefer. This module is ideal for your qualification objectives and to obtain crucial information about your products/services/collections. Note that the Face Filter is a mode of the Shopping List module.

Summary

Design

Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating your games graphics. To create the elements specific to the Face Filter module, please see this article: Face Filter module graphic specifications

Page setup

First of all, click on 'New Campaign' and select the Shopping List mechanism. You will reach the campaign editor, where you will find the mechanism's 5 pages: Form, Media Gallery, Shopping List, and the Result page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page. Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background images setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under 'Background Image'. To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game design' section in this article. You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can keep the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that reflects your brand or your game pages, for instance.

Game settings

  • Limited participation : you can leave this option disabled if you want your participants to be able to play your game indefinitely. If you activate it, set the number of games per day, week, month, campaign, or user; then create and select your 'Already Played' page. If users try to replay the game, they will be redirected to this page. Ideally, we recommend setting up this on "1 per day" to encourage the user to come back and play regularly.

  • Enable price limit: this option is not to be activated, it is reserved for a classic use of the Shopping List module.

  • Random display of articles: allows you to randomly display the items contained in the different categories. This way, all filters and decorative elements can be displayed in an equitable way.

  • Limit the use at one item per category: can be useful if you want for example to offer users the chance to win a complete outfit by choosing only one item among all those offered in the categories (1 top, 1 bottom, 1 pair of shoes, 1 accessories etc.), or to get a global view on their preferences.

  • Caption to incite users to upload a background: this text will be displayed before the user's first action on the Face Filter and will indicate how to get started on the module. Enable background upload for users: activate this option so that the user can import the photo of his choice from the files on his computer / tablet or phone. Use the caption to explain the process to the user, as in the example below:

Module content

Click on "Advanced settings" to access the editing of the categories and customization elements that will be offered to the user:

Category list: import a visual for each category and name it. All categories will be displayed on the left side of the image to be edited. Click "OK" when a category is created to move to the next one.

Product list: import a visual for each element and then choose a name: we recommend that you use simple names to facilitate identification in your user exports. You can then insert a short description of the element (optional) then you will have to set its price at "0€" (the price is valid only in "Shopping List" mode) and finally indicate in which category it should be placed.

Click on "OK" when an item is created to move on to the next one.

Please note: when the user chooses his elements, he can manage their positioning on the background of the Face Filter by changing their size, position and/or orientation in order to create a personalized photo.

Customizing the module

Display version: you can choose between two different types of display for the categories, which will appear on the left side of the screen

Version 1

Version 2

Display version: you can choose between two different types of display for the categories, which will appear on the left side of the screen

Buttons positions: you must choose a position for the buttons for validating and cancelling user actions between "top" and "bottom" of the screen, as well as between "left", "middle" and "right".

Game width on desktop: you can choose between having a standard 810 px width or displaying your game screen in 1200 px, which will leave room on the right to display information for example.

Number of items on mobile: this option will play on the number of products that will be displayed on the mobile screen (see below). You can change the color of the following elements to obtain an optimal display: menu background, loaders (which appear when loading categories/items if the internet connection is slow), category names, "validate" and "cancel" buttons, incentive introduction text and description text. You can also customize the loading bar by clicking on "Advanced option".

Number of elements : 4

Number of elements : 1

Display 4 elements on a horizontal line

The user will have to scroll vertically to see the line of the next 4 elements

Display 1 element at a time, centered at the bottom of the screen. The user will have to scroll vertically to see the next element.

Compatibility with the Gallery module

One of the possible options of the Face Filter module is to enhance the creation of user lists for recruitment purposes and to increase the visibility of your campaign on social networks and other sharing links. Indeed, with the configuration as it is presented in the template (Form > Gallery > Shopping List > Thanks), each board visual created will be added to the Gallery automatically.

Your users can therefore, for example, share the campaign link to their friends/ relatives to encourage them to vote for their creation and potentially win a reward if it is chosen among the best selections.

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and Test

To preview and test your campaign, read this article. Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.
