Description

The Shopping List module invite your users to select items from a list. It can be used for several purposes - creating an ideal shopping list from your products, making a list of activities for the back-to-school period, creating a recipe from various ingredients... Present your selection of product categories and upload photos of the corresponding items. Invite users to add their favorite products to their list. This module is perfect for your qualification goals and to obtain crucial data on your products/services/collections. Moreover, thanks to the price capping option, this module is very effective in boosting conversion rates.

Summary

Game Design

Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating your games graphics. To create the specific elements of the Shopping List, please see this article: Shopping List module graphic specifications

Page setup

First, click on New Campaign and select the Gift Finder mechanic. You will then be taken to the campaign editor which includes the 4 stages of this mechanic: Form, Media Gallery, Shopping List, Thanks and an End of campaign page. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page. Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under Background Image. To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please refer to the 'Game design' section in this article. You also have the option to add a solid background color that will surround your game pages - you can leave the basic color or choose to standardize your campaign, with a color that reminds the user of your brand or game pages for example.

Game settings

  • Number of participation: Set the number of games per day, week, month, campaign, or user then create and select your 'Already Played' page. If the users try to replay, they will be redirected to this page. Ideally, we recommend one participation per day so as to encourage users to return to your campaign on a regular basis.

  • Enable price limit: Enable this option and choose the amount you want to set as a price limit for your Shopping List. If you don't enable this option, there will be no restriction to the number of items users can add to the Shopping List.

  • Random display of articles: This option allows you to randomly display items from the various categories. Thus, all products can be displayed in an equitable manner.

  • Limit the use at one item per category: This can be useful if you want to give users the opportunity to win a full outfit by choosing only one item from each category (1 up, 1 down, 1 pair of shoes, 1 accessories, etc.) for example.

  • Caption to incite users to use items: This introductory text will appear before users do anything with their Shopping List in order to show them how to start playing with the module.

  • Enable background upload for users: You can give users the option to import the background of their choice from their computer, tablet or smartphone. Use the introductory text to explain the process, as in the example below: Remember that you can also suggest your own backgrounds, as explained in the 'Customizing the Module' section below.

Game contents

Click on 'Show advanced menu' to edit the categories and products available to the user:

  • Category list: Upload a visual element for each category and give the latter a name. All categories will be displayed on the left side of the image to be edited. After creating a category, click 'OK' to move to the next one.

  • Product list: Import an image for each product and choose a name; we recommend using simple names to facilitate their identification during your user exports. You can then enter a short product description (optional), set the price of the product, and choose the respective category.

After creating a product, click 'OK' to move to the next one.

When users choose their elements, they can manage their appearance on the Shopping List by changing their size, position and/or orientation in order to create a customized visual.

Game customization

  • Background visual: Import the background to which you will add the various elements that make up your Shopping List. You can add up to 5 backgrounds to give users more customization choices.

  • Display version: You can choose between two different types of category visualization, which will be displayed on the left of the screen Buttons positions: You must choose a position for the 'validate' and 'cancel' buttons; these can be placed on the 'top' and 'bottom', as well as on the 'left', 'middle' and 'right' of the screen.

  • Game width on desktop: You can choose the standard width of 810 px or display your game in 1200 px, which will create room on the right to display - for example - extra information.

  • Number of items on mobile: This option will affect the number of products to be displayed on mobile screens.

You can change the color of the following elements to optimize the display: menu background, loaders (which will appear when loading categories/products if the internet connection is slow), categories names, 'validate' and 'cancel' buttons, introductory text and description text. You can also customize the loading bar by clicking on 'Advanced Option'.

Compatibility with the Gallery module

One of the options available for the Shopping List module is to create user lists for recruitment purposes and to boost the visibility of your campaign on social media and other sharing platforms. Indeed, with the configuration presented in the template (Form > Gallery > Shopping List > Results), each list visual created will be automatically added to the Gallery.

For example, users can share the campaign link with their friends and relatives so that they will vote for their list and potentially win a reward if it is voted as one of the best selections.

To learn more about setting up a photo contest, please refer to the dedicated article.

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and Test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.
