Description

Shuffler's mechanism perfectly meets your needs for visibility and branding, while also boosting your recruitment: it allows you to promote your brand, your products or your rewards by encouraging users to focus on the latter.

In this famous game adapted as an instant-win game, users must focus on an object which is hidden under one of three cups and shuffled in front of them. If a reward is available when users access the Shuffler instant-win game, they will find the winning container regardless of the object they have clicked on.

Summary

Game design

Before setting up your campaign, you must create the necessary graphic elements. To start, please visit this page, where you will find all the information you need to create the graphics for your campaign: Creating your games graphics.

You can download all the elements for your module (standard size) with our PSD pack and our manual:

Page setup

First of all, click on New Campaign then select the Shuffler mechanism. You then find yourself in the campaign editor with all the stages of this mechanic: Form, Shuffler, and the Win, Lose, Already Played and End of Campaign pages. If you wish, you can add a home page and/or a teaser page.

Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, including the campaign dates, terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under 'Background picture'. To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game design' section of this article. You also have the option of adding a single background color that will surround your game pages - you can leave the basic color or choose to standardize your campaign with a color that reminds the users of your brand or game pages, for example.

Game settings

Number of participation: Set the number of participation per day, week, month, campaign or per user, then create and select your 'Already Played' page. If the users try to play again, they will be redirected to this page. We recommend to set up this parameter for 1 participation/day, in order to encourage the users to come back regularly on your campaign.

Game mode: Shuffler's animation and graphics specifications will change according to the game mode you have selected. Available choices are:

  • Cup Box (front view)

  • Box (top view)

  • Music Box

  • Door (right opening)

  • Door (left opening)

You will find the corresponding animations below.

Winners uniqueness: this option allows you to choose the number of rewards that can potentially be won by the same user on your campaign, via the winning moment(s) it contains. See our dedicated article for more information.

Result pages: Set your 'Won' and 'Lost' pages: they will be displayed once the button has been clicked, and the page displayed will be depending if a reward has been distributed or not.

Customizing the appearance

Visual of the hidden object: This is the object the user will have to find in the containers. This could be, for instance, a product that you want to promote or the reward offered by your campaign.

Cache visual: The cache will be used to hide the object in your container:

  • the closed door visual in the 'Door' mode

  • the box lid visual in the 'Box' mode

  • the cup visual in the 'Cup' mode

Container visual: The container changes according to the game mode:

  • the closed door visual in the 'Door' mode

  • the box visual in the 'Box' mode no container in

  • the 'Cup' mode, as only the cache is used

You can also customize the loading bar by clicking on 'Advanced settings'.

Editing and preview settings

By clicking on the game area in the editor, you will be able to access the game preview as well as the edition of the game dimensions (to best integrate your game in a mobile application). Learn more about this feature

Rewards setup

The shuffler is a winning moment, in other words, it is a mechanism dedicated to the distribution of rewards. If you have not yet set up rewards for your campaign, follow this link.

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your different pages for that support. To import mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for desktop backgrounds.

Campaign launch and Test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign. Use our emailing option to increase engagement on your marketing campaign.

Examples of Shuffler Campaigns

Check out few examples of Shuffler campaigns below and in our " Inspiration" area

Winter is a key advertising period for Président and its products. To ensure the brand's visibility, users are invited to find the Fondue packaging hidden in a Président bag, set in a warm graphic universe.

Universal Music is launching a co-branded campaign with Yop to boost the company's reputation among its target audience - young people aged 12 to 25. Shuffler becomes a 'scratching' animation, with an audio mixer in the background, while vinyl records hide a bottle of Yop for the customization of the engine.

To advertise its new wooden toys collection, Lidl invites users to find a kitchen in one of the toy boxes; the kitchen is one of the collection's flagship toys, and also one of the rewards of the final draw.

McDonald's has created a Halloween-themed game to promote their Happy mascot and engage their target audience: users must find Happy, who is hiding in one of the pumpkins and feeling sick after eating so much candy.
