Description

The Prediction mechanism is based on betting systems (for sports or any kind of event). It is perfect for boosting your branding and for engaging your users around large-scale events. Ask your users to predict results and generate emulation among your audience. You can also customize all the color elements of your brand and products to enhance their visibility.

Game Design

Before setting up your campaign, you must create the necessary graphic elements. Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating your games graphics. To create specific Prediction elements, please read this manual:

Page setup

First of all, click on 'New Campaign' and select the Prediction mechanism .

Pronostics

This will take you to the campaign editor, where you will find the mechanism 's various stages: Form, the Predictions page and the end of campaign page. You can then add a Ranking page which will display player scores after the end of the match. You can also add a teaser page. Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, by entering the campaign dates and importing the Rules and Privacy Policy.

Background image setup

Upload your desktop background images by clicking on the '+' icon under 'Background Image'. To find out the graphics specifications for this module's background images, please check the 'Game design' section in this article.

You can also add a solid background color to surround your game pages - you can keep the default color or standardize your campaign with a color that reflects your brand or your game pages, for instance.

Game Settings

Settings Predictions
  • Number of participation: If the 'Limited participation' option is enabled, set the number of games per day, week, month, campaign, or user, then create and select your 'Already Played' page. If users try to replay the game, they will be redirected to this page. For this module, and especially if you enable the 'Allow edition' option, we recommend the unlimited participation setting so as to encourage users to return to your campaign and tweak their predictions on a regular basis.

  • Prediction mode: There are 3 prediction levels with different possibilities, which are detailed in the next paragraph. The point allocation mode changes according to the difficulty setting.

  • Allow draws (Beginner mode): If this option is enabled, users can bet on draws. In this option, users will not be asked to predict the score.

  • Enable half-time score (Confirmed & Expert modes): This adds some difficulty to the game because users will have to predict both the half-time score and the final score of the match.

  • Allow edition: This option allows users to change their predictions as many times as they want before the beginning of the match.

  • Show points won: This means that once the match is over, users will be able to see how many points they have won.

⚠️ Predictions are no longer possible after the start of the match

Customizing content

By clicking on the 'Display advanced menu' button, you will be able to access the following parameters:

  • Players Settings: Upload the visual elements of the team or player who will be involved in the match, as well as their names. This is the information that will be displayed on the match sheet.

  • Match Settings: Select the two teams or players that will compete, as well as the date and time of the match.

All this information will be used to create the rendering of the Prediction page, as in this example:

Automatic synchronization of the Rugby World Cup matches

By activating this option, the list of teams and matches of the 2023 Rugby World Cup will be automatically applied and the scores will be added at the end of the matches.

⚠️ Enabling automatic synchronization will delete all your current matches and teams.

Customizing the appearance

Appearence

By clicking on the 'Preview pop-up' button, you can see what your match sheet will look like. You can also change the font type and the color of the text. Note that you can import a custom font for any text field. This is what a standard match sheet looks like (Beginner mode) :

Mobile version setup

Once your desktop campaign has been set up, you must switch to Mobile View in order to import the dedicated backgrounds and format your pages for this device. To import Mobile background images, follow the same procedure as for Desktop background images.

Campaign launch and test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign. Don't forget to check your campaign.

Prediction results management

Once the first match is over, you will have to update the final score to generate the first Prediction winners/losers. To do this, go to the 'Users' section on your Dashboard and click on the 'Prediction' tab.

The page that will appear contains a list with all the current and upcoming matches on your campaign:

To add a score at half time or as a final result, simply enter it in the "Half Time Result" and "End Game Result" boxes near the desired match.

Description of the different elements on this page:

Prediction page: This is where the name of all Prediction pages set up on your campaign is displayed. You can display all campaign matches on a single page or filter those matches according to the pages you select.

Filter participants: Select a team or player to see only the matches in which they are involved. You can only select one team/player at a time.

  • Validated score: This option displays finished matches for which you have already entered the final score.

  • Score not validated: This option displays finished matches or unfinished matches for which you haven't entered the final score yet.

  • Final score not validated: This option displays finished matches or unfinished matches for which you haven't entered the final score yet. It also includes matches with half-time score predictions.

  • Half-time score not validated: This option displays finished and unfinished matches with half-time score predictions for which you haven't entered the half-time score yet.

By clicking on the Export button next to each result, you can export the data of each particular match to filter the respective winners.
