Some modules on Adictiz Box facilitate data collection by asking users to choose/vote among multiple media (photos or videos) to validate their preferences (Battle, Photo Contest, Shopping List, Wishlist Pinterest,...).

There are 2 ways to import your media informations on these modules:

Add your media informations manually

This is ideal if you have only a few media to import:

  • Go to the "Media" tab in the "Users" section of the editor, then on "Import medias":

  • Click on the window (screen capture below) to access your resources on your computer, and select all the media you want to install on this campaign.

  • Enter the data relating to these media manually (name, description...).

  • Remember to reload the page (F5) if you do not see your media after having imported them.

Add your media informations via a CSV file

If you have a large number of media to add, it is better to automate the collection of their related information, by creating a file summarizing the necessary contents:

  • Follow the same procedure as for a manual upload (see above)

  • When displaying the window, click on "Download Template"

A CSV type file will then be downloaded, including all columns of information specific to each mechanism compatible with the import of the media. Some columns are required for your module to operate, others are optional (for example, the association of a media to a language, as part of a multilingual campaign).

Here is the detailed information that is asked of you:

Requested information

Description

id

Media ID (in numbers)

group-id

Media Group - to categorize your media. A group corresponds to all images added together on a visual if the option "Number of media allowed per participation" has been set to a minimum of 2 on the Media Upload module.

Example of visualizing a group of 3 visuals in the Media Gallery module:

This identifier will be identical for all media in the same group. If no group is created, you must leave this column empty.

lang

Language associated with the media - see the dedicated article to get to know all the languages supported by Adictiz Box.

file-name

Exact name of the uploaded media.

ex: sofa_blue.jpeg

url

URL of the Youtube, Dailymotion or Vimeo video file to be imported, or of the URL associated with the visual (redirection to a product sheet for example). Leave empty if no url.

author

Media author (name of the user adding the image or video).

name

Name of the file (visible in the Gallery).

ex: Blue sofa "Omnik"

long description

Long description of the media (visible in the Gallery).

short-description

Short description of the media (visible in the Gallery).

store

Store associated with the media.

category

Category associated with the media.

ex: furniture

tag

Used for the Swiper, and allows to categorize the content uploaded on the module

custom_field_A/B/C/...

Custom field A/B/C/... (visible in the Gallery).

This "template" file requires formatting to be able to enter your data optimally.

If you work on Excel:

  • Download the configuration file and open Excel

  • Select the option "Text file", then the file "model.csv" that you have downloaded and click on "Read data"

  • Choose the option "Delimited" and "UTF-8" as the origin of the file, then click on "Next"

  • Enter "Commas" as delimiters and check the box "interpret consecutive identical separators as unique", then click on "Next"

  • On the next 2 screens, click on "End" then "OK"

Your file is now properly arranged.

If you work on Google Sheets:

  • Download the configuration file and open it in Google Sheets

  • Select the first cell (A1) where you can find the following line of text: id;"name";"address";"zip-code";"city";"url-website";"url-facebook-page";"url-twitter-page","url-instagram-page";"logo";"visual-1"

  • Click on "Data" and choose "Split text into columns"

  • Set the separator to "Semicolon"

The columns are now visible.
