Summary

Game Design

Before setting up your campaign, you must create the necessary graphic elements.

Please check this article that will explain all the essential information for the graphic creation of your campaign: Creating your games graphics.

To create Paper Toss-specific elements, please see this article: Paper Toss Module Graphics Specifications.

It's time to move on to the installation of your campaign!

Page setup

First of all, click on New Campaign then select the Paper Toss mechanism.

You will reach the campaign editor, where you will find the mechanism's 6 pages: Home (optional); Form; Paper Toss; and the 'Result' and 'Already Played' Pages.

If you want, you can also add a teaser page and/or an end of campaign page.

Don't forget to set up your campaign settings now, by entering the campaign dates and importing the Rules and Privacy Policy.

Background image setup

Upload your Desktop Wallpaper by clicking the "+" icon in Background Image.

To learn about the background graphics specifications for this module, please refer to the "Game Design" section of this article.

You also have the option of adding a solid background color that will surround your game pages - you can leave the basic color or choose to standardize your campaign with a color that reminds the user of your brand or game pages, for example.

Game settings

Limited participation: you can choose whether your users will be able to play as many times as they want by enabling or disabling the 'Limited Participation' option.

If you choose 'Limited Participation', set the number of games per day, week, month, campaign and user > Create and configure your 'Already played' page.

If the user tries to play more than he is allowed, he will immediately get to this page.

Enable chronometer: add difficulty to the player, as he/she will have to make as many shots as possible before the time runs out.

Number of lives: it is unlimited by default but you can choose to allow up to 5 lives. When a user misses the target, a life will be removed.

Opening animation: concerns the ball appearance on screen. You have the choice between “rolling", "fade", "zoom" or "simple" .

Closing animation: you can choose between “rebound" or "simple" to decide what will be the ball animation after hitting the ground.

Enabling Arcade mode: allow your users to be able to throw the ball more times within the same time limit. A new ball could appear while the previous one is still bouncing.

Enabling Basket mode: another version of the module that involves throwing a paper ball into a basket.

Movement mode: choose how to move the basket. If you want a static basket, select "None". If you want to add difficulty, choose between "Sequenced" and "Progressive".

Enable combos: it means that when your users score several times in a row, they will have a bonus because they will have succeeded in a sequence.

Enable wind: can add an extra difficulty. The user will have to consider the random wind direction before shooting.

Display result page: enable this for users to find out whether they have won or not. To know more about the type of result, click here. Based on your choice, readjust the number of pages Won, Lost and Already played.

Customizing the appearance

Upload the game visuals: background, panel, basket, wind arrow, life and projectiles.

By clicking on "Advanced options", you can customize the loading bar.

Editing and preview settings

By clicking on the game area in the editor, you will be able to access the game preview as well as the edition of the game dimensions (to best integrate your game in a mobile application).

Once enabled, click on "Enable edition mode" to position your items.

The horizon line on the Paper Toss module determines where objects will disappear or bounce once they fall below the "basket". You have the choice to customize this option, by moving it up and down.

Activate the horizon shift and click on the red bar on the game's visual and drag to the desired location.

Below is a summary of all elements you can position:

Mobile setup

Once your Desktop Campaign is set up, you need to switch to Mobile view to import the dedicated background and to format your different pages for that support.

To import Mobile backgrounds, follow the same procedure as for Desktop background.

Campaign launch and test

Once the desktop and mobile versions have been finalized, you can publish the campaign.

Don't forget to check your campaign.
