Definition

Opt-in is a process by which a user gives their voluntary and explicit consent to receive communications or promotional offers. This means actively choosing to subscribe or receive specific information, rather than being automatically included in a mailing list without consent. Opt-in gives individuals control over the communications they wish to receive.

Opt-in on Adictiz Box

On Adictiz Box, the user gives consent via the "Newsletter" field on the form. The newsletter field can then be used as an opt-in button:

The default button on a form page "Validate the form" is the non-opt-in button. It allows the user to participate in your campaign without giving consent:

Customization of the newsletter field (opt-in)

By default, the newsletter field appears as a checkbox: "I agree to receive information from the organizing company" (see below).

We recommend changing the field type and choosing "Button with opt-in". Then customize this button with an image. The visual of the button should clearly indicate to the user that they are giving consent. Examples of buttons with opt-in:

Export of opt-ins

In user management or in your data export, the number indicated in the column named "Newsletter" determines if a user is opt-in:

  • 1 = Opt-in

  • 0 = Non opt-in

The Statistics tab (Insight) allows you to track the opt-in rate of your campaign. In the "Recruit" section, the key figures provide indicators to see the popularity of your campaign, you will find the number of opt-ins and the opt-in newsletter rate:

Can users be forced to subscribe to the newsletter?

In accordance with privacy laws and marketing regulations, it is generally preferable to adopt an approach of explicit consent. Users should have the option to choose to subscribe to the newsletter rather than being forced.

Can a campaign be reserved for opt-ins only?

How to send an email to opt-ins?

It is possible to send targeted emails to opt-in users using the segmentation function offered by the "Segment" option. This function allows you to group contacts based on specific criteria, such as behavior (opt-in, interactions with products), and demographics.
