Description

A "pixel" is a name commonly used for designating a portion of code that can transmit information to a third party. It is also called "tag" or "script".

This is an analytics tool that measures the effectiveness of your campaigns and follows the actions undertaken by your users by capturing their behavior - including traffic origin, devices used, and other demographic data. With this information, you can adapt your ads so that they speak to specific audiences, as well as increasing the likelihood that visitors to your website become buyers.

There are several types of tags/pixels/script:

  • Statistics : these allow to information to be traced back on the general traffic of a website or app.

  • Advertising : they allow the tracing of specific information, a conversion for example, on some of the traffic coming from the advertising campaign.

Installing a pixel via Google Tag Manager (if the pixel is identical on each page of the campaign)

Configuration time: 10 min. approximately.

Google Tag Manager is a third-party solution that is natively present on Adictiz Box and that allows you to encapsulate tags from different platforms (GA, Facebook, DoubleClick, etc.). Due to its numerous triggers and its connections with a large number of control panels, we recommend this solution for the installation of your pixel.

To create your GTM pixel, follow the instructions on this page: Configure and install Tag Manager

Here are the steps you must follow in Adictiz Box to install your pixel:

  • Go to your campaign's settings.

  • Select the "Analytics" tab.

  • Embed your code in "Google Tag Manager Code".

Installing a pixel via the HTML / JS Block widget

Configuration time: 1 min. approximately.

This alternative to Google Tag Manager is a simpler solution, especially if you want to install a single pixel on a specific page, but you can also use it if you need several different types of pixels installed on multiple pages.

Here is the procedure for installation:

  • Click on the Widgets tab and select "Social Networks" to open the different options.

  • Select the HTML / JS Block option and copy the pixel code.

  • Insert an HTML / JS block with the appropriate code on all necessary pages.

This code is specific to each page and is automatically put on the desktop and mobile version.
